love your enemies.

Who are your enemies? Who are the people who consider you as enemies? Who are the people who show contempt for you? Who are the people you find hard to love? Spend some time now in silence to pray for just one of them. As you pray, ask God to give you opportunities to move toward that person to do good, that God will strengthen you so that you will not allow yourself to be compromised by their antagonistic attitude to you. Pray also that you will be unfailingly kind and generous to them, as your heavenly Father is kind and generous to you.
