The problem of pain..

It's a wonderful truth, that God warns people through suffering, and He brings them back to Himself. This principle was made very plain by CS Lewis, who wrote famous words on one occasion:

God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pains: it is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world.
